We the Best is the second studio album by Miami mixtape DJ and Terror Squad member DJ Khaled, which was released on June 12, 2007. Guest appearances are Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Birdman, T.I., Akon, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, T-Pain, Dre, Game, Trick Daddy, Young Jeezy, Plies, Juelz Santana, Jadakiss, Ja Rule, Styles P, Trina, Flo Rida, Paul Wall, Bun B and C-Ride.
Background and release
The album debuted at number #8 on the Billboard 200, selling 79,000 copies in its first week.[8] As of January 2008, the album has sold 440,000 copies in the United States.[9] Rick Ross, Dre, Lil Wayne, Fat Joe and Trick Daddy had a much "major role" on this album. Rick Ross is featured on 5 tracks, Dre is featured on 4 tracks, Trick Daddy, Fat Joe and Lil Wayne are featured on 3 tracks, Jadakiss, Birdman and C-Ride are featured on 2 tracks. Some of the artist did not return, like Pitbull (who was featured on 2 tracks last album), Lil Scrappy, Twista and Kanye West. There are new guests on the album, like T-Pain, Plies, Flo Rida, Pooh Bear, C-Ride, Cassidy, Shareefa, Yung Berg, Ludacris, Lil' Kim, R. Kelly, Ace Mack, Busta Rhymes, Willy Northpole, Rich Boy, Joe Hound, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Jim Jones, Big Boi and Ja Rule.
